The developer is expected to participate in the software development process and take a project end to end and drive it to completion while keeping high quality standards of the project. You will work as a part of the Scala backend engineering team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through the development, testing, and launching of new features, as well as maintaining the existing application.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning and development of new features

  • Maintain and improve existing functionality

  • Participate in architectural discussions around new development and optimization of existing parts of the system

  • Support customer facing teams with any technical issues reported by the clients

  • Perform code reviews and advocate for code cleanliness and best practices.

  • Enhance the monitoring functionality of the application to proactively surface issues before they affect our clients

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with Scala or Java

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related area, or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience with relational databases, version control tools, and of developing web services

  • Experience with developing applications over Kubernetes and AWS is a plus

  • Knowledge of using monitoring tools like Datadog is a plus

  • Experience with Play Framework is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
